The below sales figures are from the Federal Chamber of Automotive industries, FCAI.
They are official sales figures for calender years 2004 to 2010 inclusive. These figures are the ones only supplied by members so the list is far from complete. Customs records for three years 2004/5 & 6, indicate over 100 thousand "unofficial" units, of varying sorts, were sold by importers out of containers alone.
And no side x side figures are supposed to be included, the numbers are kids, sports and "farm" quads just lumped together.

2004 ^ 3.0 % to 14 739
2005 ^15.8 % to 17 068
2006 ^ 5.7 % to 18 047
2007 ^ 9.4 % to 19 742
2008 ^ 1.2 % to 19 990
2009 ^ 1.9 % to 20 363
2010 d 7.0 % to 18 942

That adds up to 128 886 quads over 7 years, with average sales increasing by about 4.3% every year...........
That's a lot of money in any economy.

Well, I reckon enough is enough. We are starting to push back, getting organised and having a go. This forum represents a very small number of quad and UTV owners in the country.....
Whinging to one another is only venting, getting the results is what is needed.
We've more than enough numbers to co-erce some change.
And I'm not having a go at you and your girls, mate. Your family deserve much better than the discriminatory garbage we are expected to accept.
