Hey guys, a couple of us are heading over to Facing island this Friday for a day of riding, there's a few seperate track around the place but will be mainly doing a few clockwise and anticlockwise laps of the main loop that is about 25km long up the beach and 25km down the guts of the island.... Plus a few km's linking them two together and putting through the island township!
The barge leaves at 8:00am from Gladstone marina and Returns around 8:00ish that night, it's around $45?? For quad and rider return trip and there's chips and drinks on the barge, will have to bring your own food and drink and fuel for the day on the island though,
so is anyone keen?
If you can'take it this time we will have a trip to the bigger better island planned for a months time or so aswell!

Hey mosko, sounds great but I don't finish work untill 12 on Friday  does the barge only run one trip a day? If so I will definately be keen for the next one!! The CQ social rides thread is a good idea too mate!!! most of my mates have turned gay and sold their quads... A good mate of mine (that is still heterosexual) has just moved to tannum sands and we will be poking around down that way soon looking for places to ride.

No worries about This time around mate, I think it will be a bit to wet over there so won't be the best riding, but I will definately keep posting on here when we are going for a ride!!
I know of a few decent loops around the Gladstone area so will have to get out and ride them!
There's one down on the way to turkey beach, out past calliope there two in the forestry, and just out of glady there is devils elbow and the state Forrest, I think there's also sone tracks down near the mx club and drag strip but have never been there,
Oh and then there's Clarkies down Lowmead it's a great spot to camp with showers and toilets and heaps of land to be explored.
So I'll definately try and give you guys a bit of notice before hand so we can arrange something!

No worries mate, when the next trip
comes around I'll post it up on the CQ social thread.
And this trip is no longer happening fri! Going tonwait until after Easter when it's a little more Dryer, just going to go for a quick ride in town I think
