Hi Guys n Girls,
I think most of you would agree that the Dakar television coverage of the quad catagory was rather ordinary. All it takes is enough people to let the media department at Dakar (ISO) know how you feel.

If you want to see the quads get better exposure then send them an e mail asking them to do just that.
It can only boost our sport.

I thought quads got a good amount of TV coverage.
The ASO have a lot to stuff in to every half hour show. Quads generate the smallest amount of money with the smallest amount of sponsorship backing.
As for every other media outlet in the world we get screwed, no net coverage, hardly any pics and as for magazines........forget it.
That is why I did my best to do it myself for the last Dakar. |

Octagon went to the Dubai Rally to have a look. A little R&D if you will. Every time a quad came along all the spectators ran to have a look. This was enough to convince them to not only have quads at Safari but also to give them full catagory coverage.
If you have ever watched Finke track side (this happens when you break down  ) then you will see the same thing happen. It's always "Hey look! A quad is comming!" and everyone rushes to the track for a look.
Sending the ASO an e mail telling them that you would like to see a daily update on the top 6 quad results can only be a good thing for our sport in general.

I agree john, just like finke the footage of quads is terriable,
One day the atvs will get noticed

| Would be good if ASO would make the program 60 min long , room for the quads then . i will send them the suggestion . |
