Just a note for those who aren't aware...there is a 2 day event at Echo Valley Toowoomba over the Labour Day long weekend 30th April/1st May.
Its a big sidecar MX event and the quads are the support event.
Classes, costs etc unknown right now...but pencil this one in.
It is MX on one of the best tracks in the country.

According to the supp. regs quads get a ribbon .$120 and the winners get ribbons W.T.F !!!
That 's what the fee was for the QLD state titles last year with a kick ass trophy and cash.
I know that we are a support class but they charging the same fee as the main classes.
$60-$80 would be a fair price if they are only awarding ribbons.

Agree with you both but the only up side is 2 days of racing long motos. You pay $80 or so per round of ThunderX for 30 mins of racing...here there will be pretty much 3 times as much track time for a few more $ only
Anyway is anyone planning on making this?

I've been in contact with the oganisers and they are concerned at the lack of quad entries. If your planning on going get your entries in and the price has been revised to $100 for entries

I just got off the phone with Rocky Warren, who is the president of the Australian Sidecar Associate, and taking the nominations for this event. He has told me there are only 3 confirmed nominations so far, and tomorrow is the closing date for nomination.
However, he has said if you would like to put in a late nomination just give him a call, and they can sign you up on the day (make sure you do call him though). Also, he said that one day licenses can be acquired for the event also. See the link to the sup reg's above for Rocky's phone number.
This will be a good fun event, so hopefully we can get a few more nominations. |
