This is the Kawasaki Teryx and if it's anything like your kawasaki, the whole thing will be hidden in a tree at some point _________________ I'm not suffering from insanity, I'm enjoying it!!! |

Yeh mate. Need something for the block to haul firewood and for fencing etc. The rappy is an awesome machine but a 4wd quad or a rhino is more practical for what will need when we move back down. Plus we can still do events like TP if we want or maybe Sandfest. _________________ I'm not suffering from insanity, I'm enjoying it!!! |

999cc possibly although you can do it with an 816kit and a tune, also given US rules maybe a turbo as well but you dont need it to make it do that, its just that Kawasaki made the most tunable engine of the group.
Yours will be very flickable in the tight stuff no doubting that but speed and stability go to the Teryx and thats better for the longer run races.
See what John, Smitty and 47Ind run in the safari, big heavy loing powerful bikes. Though John went on a weight saving route he still lengthened the frame if I remember his notes and possibly only because he had to but started with the Polaris Independent rear frame. _________________ www.asho.com.au for your shooting and outdoor needs

Better to ask Mick how many have registered because thats the only real number.
I know I havent sent in my papers yet as I havent confirmed my second & mech staff. I want to try and get the team together that would do Safari later in the year if (when) they are approved to take part.
Course at the end of the day I can just enter my SXS and anybody with an MA license can jump in the passenger seat. So entry is pretty much assured. I would very much like to have sold my current buggy and moved oin to next technology. _________________ www.asho.com.au for your shooting and outdoor needs

I'm not gunna get myself into an argument on the internet over who's is better, from a joke myself and Fossil had between each other, lets just say his SxS wants to be able to do 140-150+ if i gear my bike up for him to catch me. _________________ "If in doubt go flat out"

Between 140-150 is what i think it will do, haven't had a chance to test it since the motor has been "warmed" up.
Was doing 130km/h running 21"s and a 15 tooth and the rest pretty much standard, and has a lot more go now then it did back then.
As long as the cans aren't full they should just bounce off my helmet.
***Edit*** Sh1t, just realised your Mrs might drink stubbies. _________________ "If in doubt go flat out"

Just a bit of a heads up, if we don't get 4 entries for the UTV class by cut off, the first ever MA sanctioned UTV trial event will not happen. This will also pretty much tell MA that you guy's are not interested in racing. We have 0 entries for the UTV class at this stage. I hope I didn't fly to Melbourne and meet with MA and beg them to trial this, for no reason?
Just letting you know, GET YOUR ENTRIES IN.

Yes, you need to have race numbers on the machine so the lap scorers can tell who you are. Front and rear of the machine is required, but the sides would be good too.

i got told that the standard rzr roll cage isnt rops approved. So to race thumb pump i need to get two bars to go over the back.
Is that true or not?

Ask Polaris if it is ROPS approved or not, and get a reference (something like a Polaris site link or a proper sales brochure statement should suffice)
Then just check where you fit in the event sup regs for what the factory has given you, AND, any modifications performed.
e-mail Mick@47 (event organiser) if you are concerned either way.
2 dozen forum opinions + "what i got told" might not be such a clean and concise path to the required answer _________________ Can-Am X Team
