having notice so many of you race, i am wondering whats needed to compete ie licenses nessesary equipment and just what the experience is like.

i lived in the country and havent had exposure to a track and all my riding has been dunes and outback tracks.

now curiosity is bettering me and will be heading to the atvwa track in a couple of weeks so looking for a bit of a heads up.

Main things your quad will need for racing are nerfs and killswitch and number plates on front and back. Apart from that you're pretty much set, make sure you've got all the right safety gear so they'll let you race (eg. boots, jersey, pants, armour, helmet etc.).
If you want any more info check out www.waquadmx.com
they have heaps of info and people to contact regarding getting into racing.
Best of luck with it Cool

Thanks jono

Its not as governed as racing cars then, where you need an andra license.

cheers

Best bet is to join a MA afiliated club. You will need this later for your MA racing licence. But at first you could go to some club events and get a day licence for a taste of racing.

Best of luck with it.

Im with coastals mcc, im an offical level 1 with MWA but the amount of times ill need a full MA licence im better off with getting day ones i had one for 2 years but couldnt justify paying so much for one race for the year.

You ll be right with woodridge track just appropriate safety gear & what jono said for bike requirements

With Wagin or Kattaining MCC ( XC ) there " black events " which are well controlled with ambo s at every meet plenty of marshals there my preference.

Just got to watch out for the cockys in the flanos & stock bikes going hard Laughing

Wagin & Kataining is full paddock bashing between 15 to 25km each track its big open paddock straights to tight just fit between trees stuff mainly 4 hr pony express ( with a partner) or if your a hero there s always ironman

woodridge has both enduro & mx tracks there will be plenty of people to talk to at the rego day, dont be worried its not offical as state rounds its more social
