Hey guys i just picked up my first bansee, and wanna know how to advance the timing.

I know the bikes history from new as my mate used to own it, its got fmf sst pipes, k&n filter, milled head (20 thou he thnks) and first over size wiseco pistons.

how do i advance the timing? do i need to buy an adjustable plate or can it be done without it?

will be running the bike on bp98, will +4 timing be too much for this fuel?

thanks, Mark

2 to 3 deg would be about right ,,dont forget to richen up your main jet

you can file out your timing plate and wind it clockwise 3mm I normaly scratch a line on zero and move it from there.

you can buy a flywheel key of any of the shops on here for around $30 which will advance it 3 deg....

Me personally buy a timming plate with the deg marks on it ..
