Hi guys, found this site lastnight and signed up today as I'm about to get my first ATV and get stuck into the whole thing. My name is Dave I'm 21 and live in Mornington Vic.
I have been shopping around my area for sports quads and its rare to find them as floor stock as they sell so poorly in the area, however Honda has a trx450er '06 model brand new that they are willing to let go for 10k and discount some gear aswell if i get it from them, seems like a good deal to me as used '06 trx450's i have found are still asking around the 8-9k mark and you can never really be sure how well they where looked after.
Anyway I look forward to learning from you guys and sharing stories! |

welcome aboard chap, you'll the quad scene in Vic healthy, if you want to race, your got no worries, but if you want to trail ride, there are a few of that get together and have ride. So get on baord and have a blast. Also you must check out the QRCV, check out the links section should be there or got www.qrcv.com easy peasy. There's a guy here josh that has the honda, so'll I'm sure he'll post in this thread sooner or later and he'll pass on the veracity of the honda. but they arn't to easy on the wrist hey josh...  Anyway welcome aboard, hope to see you on the trails.

Welcome aboard Dave, as Yogie Said you should checkout the qrcv site but its www.qrcv.com.au . If your looking around for a 450 Iv'e got a stock 05 TRX with low hours for sale for around $8k, well lookend after, comes with nerf bars, kill switch and Pro Taper ATV Race Bend Bars. Also got heaps of 2nd hand race parts for it too.

thanks guys, PeteW sounds tempting at 8k with spares but 2k isnt alot to stretch for a new quad with zero hours, minus spares tho. At the moment the purchase of my quad relies on my ute selling, so i can buy a cheaper car and a atv.
As for uses, I have a mate with a farm who's parents are letting us convert a paddock so we'll have a tame mx style track with a few jumps and such, plus there are a few trails around his place. Racing isnt really the plan, its more for something to do on the weekends and trips away with the boys that anything competitive for me. But who knows maybe ill get a taiste for it! |

| turns out the trx450er is also an 07 not 06 so thats a bonus... I'll have to have a talk with some guys on here about suspension and how to set it up for a bit of jumping and good times! |
