Hoping to do Finke & TP this year on my DS450.

Just wondering what sort of parts/tools do you carry. What is realistic for fixing beside the track?

Also for Finke, is the club refuelling the way to go?

Club refuelling is easy.
You probably need just 2 not 3 stops, but it does give you a moment of rest and you would need to hook up to some organised teams.
Tools: a tyre repair kit. And then it depends on what you would be able to fix yourself. spanners and screwdrivers to tighten up loose stuff. pliers or wire cutters if you get entangled in some garbage. Zip ties.
I have asked around and everyone gave me a somewhat different answer.
Consider the extra weight you will have to carry.
There are some lengthy stretches of the track where there will be no spectators to help.
Hope this helps.

Take your factory tool kit that sorts out the obvious stuff what ever you need to work on controls(handlebars, levers, handguards, etc) as they are the first things to get messed up in a spill. Tyre plugs and inflation means. Anything major isnt fixable on the side of the track so dont worry about that. I locktite any fixings that can possibly work loose ie wheel nuts, plastic bolts, exhaust mounts, etc.
Hope this helps

For TP300 I wouldn't worry about taking anything with you. Because it is only a 25km loop its not that far to get straight back to the pits and fix stuff.
