Read a lot of US forums and seems the most credible post is by a guy who claims to ride reguilarly at a place out where Polaris regularly test.

Came across 3 development buggies 2 two seater and 1 four seater.

All about 6 inches longer in the tub area to cater for a variety of engines, these ones were 1150 - 1200 cc (there goes self regulation) so you could reasonably expect 100HP or ability to reach it with a stage 1 kit. Torque in the 70flbs range.

Polaris always had the abiity to upgrade its weber sourced 760 even get 100+hp out of the 760.

Then they bought Swiss Auto earlier in the year when it became apparent that CanAm were ready for release. Swiss Auto though are something of a V-twin specialist.

So what does the new "RZR" (No longer called a RZR) mean?

If this guys post is correct.

Trailing A-arm supension - extra clearance front and back
1000cc+ motor = 100hp+
6" longer approx but not much wider (eeek) it had want to be 70"+
ROPS cages were on them.

This does fit with Polaris's work with FIM earlier in the year to help develop ROPS compatible caging.

Expect a US version to carry a GPS as a add-on, with their ride trails, parks and especially Glamis and Baja. In fact you may well see Glamis or Baja on the Badging or both on different models.

Seems Polaris have had enough of being whupped in these events by buggies not even designed as sports machines.

Let the Cubes war commence!

Bigger Donk for starters...875cc
And if I read correctly, turboed and pushing out 65.6 Kw or just under 88HP.

So then, mostly epicly wrong?? haha

875cc and no factory race version on the floor YET!! But the trailing link suspension and 6" wider (thats a very specific "guess") obviously somebody saw something to get that one.

Will the 875cc have the 270degree firing sequence in common with the 850 sportsman motor so it sounds any good?

Trailing link suspension. Anyone say enduro racer??

Have to wait for the 2011 accessory list to see the 500 things you can add on to judge accuracy of some other predictions.

Dont know how many units they have to produce for homologation without a standard model built to the spec, it may be 500, I expect Polaris plan to have that knocked out by end Feb max if they want to run most of the race season which they will consider development.

Has left plenty of room for aftermarket on the recreational model then but does look to be the best chassis on the market standard (wonder when we will see trailing link aftermarket suspension for other makes in aftermarket now? maybe never? Someone will have a go)

Apparantly pipe pathway if pretty crap so exhaust builders will be sought out.

They use some unmeasured improvements like "bigger brake rotors with more surface breaking area". What happened to 320mm wave disks and 4 pot calipers? I could understand that.

Still no handbrake. hillstops? anyone carrying a brick? At least Ive got an after market electric brake for those who want one.

Is it the best?? Racer boy weekender? Unless it fall sin half yes is likely the answer to that. If anything it widens a gap between those who want to be flat to the floor from those who want power but not speed and carrying capacity. So starting down the road of motorcycles of head down bum up and sports/torque machines division.

I like it even if thats all it does but I'm sure we'll see some very good results from it. Smile

$31?? $35?? WAY TOO MUCH FOR REC USE IMO

The Polaris Aust race ready pack??

But as a near ready to go package for 4 wheeled, and two person "off road" motorsports, the price of admission is certainly in the ball park.[/b]

i am not sure on rrp but you would like to think that it would be under the 30k.

pending on sales mix they might only decide to bring the XP 900 model in from now on and do it as a comparative price against the commanader.

i know they are not brining in the standard RZR anymore but having 2 equivelant models available in Aus doesn't make sense to me.

hopefully they are they arrive in the country soon.

If you use the usual availability of first year models there would be no way they would be able to do that on year 1 as its unlikely they'll have a quota of what 50-75? is that less than 2 per store? Some stores would not be very happy about that.

Besides I think they are opening a definitive gap in the type of technology and its overall use. They certainly seemed to want to promote it that way and for people to think about it that way from their lead up ads. So I dont think they'll drop the S.
