| Would anyone be able to tell me if it is normal for a 660 raptor to wonder and bumb steer on a dirt road at a resonable speed.Do i have to adjust toe in or some thing? or is it just the nature of the beast ? |

If its standard front end you could be pointed in any direction ! With good rubber for heaps of traction keep control of that thumb throttle
Have you got a steering damnper ?? what size fronts you run ?? |

Try running about 4mm toe out.
Make sure your rear ride height is not too high (or the front too low).
This will have the effect of reducing castor by tilting the chassis forward.
There are lots of other things that will dramatically help reduce bump steer, wandering and improve drivability etc, but the above suggested are the zero cost set up things that you might want to check first. _________________ Can-Am X Team

the old 660's were not know for their stability to begin with, but then again most Yamaha sport quads run no more than 2 degrees positive castor which make them inherently twitchy. A steering damper will definitely help as will an adjustable front end. Being that there is not a lot of adjustability in theat model you could also try going for a bigger variation between front and rear tyres, 22inch fronts with 20 inch rears will make a big difference from the stock sizings of 21inch fronts _________________
