Below is the difference between the 07 and 08 3rd gear from the LTR 450. The gears are from Hook and Sonya's quads
The one with the 4 dogs on it is the 07 gear.
Both are the standard issue Suzuki gears and the 07 gear has copped a flogging for 100 hrs and never had a problem...whereas the 08 gear let go around the 70-80 hour mark (female rider for most of its life so might have had a gentle life)

i know some had problems with 07 boxes but this is just what a few of us have experienced with 07/08/09/010 machines or going to! _________________ JUST DOIN IT |

I just think the quality of the later gears is not the same as earlier, the 07 gears have a larger beval on the leading edge and the later really do look cheap, but that would be a company just cutting costs.. _________________ JUST DOIN IT |
