A minor technical problem that has been in existence on OZATV since it's last major update has been fixed today.

When users on the forum received a Topic Update Notification email, it would occasionally have "Hello <username>" where the username that appeared was different to the recipient's username.

The username that was appearing would be that of another user who had posted something in the thread that the notification was for.

To remove the confusion this has occasionally caused, the email content has now been modified to remove the incorrect greeting, so now users will only receive the details of the new post made to that thread since they last visited the thread.

Dave,

If you've posted to a thread, you'll receive a notice when someone else replies in that thread.

There's also an option at the bottom of each forum's topic list that lets you subscribe to that entire forum - so if someone posts something in a particular area, you can get a notification that there's something new and so know when to visit.

In both cases, you'll only get one notice for the first thing posted after your most recent visit. The email notification setting then resets the next time you log onto the site.

Hope that makes sense?

Patrick
