Hey guys,

I'm starting a (for fun) off-road buggy project. Im going to need some ATV wheels (16x8 tires + 7" rims + hubs)... A significant thing that needs to be acknowledged/considered is that i'm a uni student - my budget is low. I WANT cheap stuff and im not interested in quality. Know of any suppliers? Provide some links? Some business names? Any recommendations?

I have tried ebay, found some kenda scorpian tires which look promising.. I can't find any rims or hubs though.

7 inch rims are generally off Honda ATC70 trikes and are hard to get.
Try some of those Ebay kids quad sellers as some of those have 7 inch rims as well.

Hey thanks for the suggestions.

I went to a wreckers today and they had a bunch of stuff.

Heaps of 16x8-7 wheels bit rusty but ok.. So i was cheering.. He was asking for 80 bucks a wheel..
You can find chinese imported tyre + rim on ebay for that price...

What should i be paying for a wheel from a wrecked kids size atv?
I cant imagine the wreckers would have bought the entire atv for more than 50 bucks...

If i can give you a tip mate, as someone who has built a buggy like this before, go out and find an old farm quad or similar with independant rear suspension and use the diff and suspension from it. Mine had no rear suspension at all just big tyres that i ran only 1-2psi in and it was rough as guts. Unless you are only gonna be driving it on roads IT NEEDS BACK SUSPENSION! i learnt the hard way and once its built its a bitch to modify.
Hope this helps.
