Howdy I am new to this forum

I have a 2002 suzuki Quadrunner LTF500F that I use for pig hunting and am looking to upgrade the lighting system

There are all sorts of cheap HID lights for ATV'S on ebay but i just wanted to check before I went nuts

At the moment is has 12v/30w/30w globes x 2

Does that mean when both globes are on HI BEAM that shes pulling 120WATTS? Can it supply more power without breaking stators?

Any recomendations of lights been used previously?

Cheers

when both lights are on they will draw 60 watts or 5 amps. From memory the alternator output is about 270 watts max. but you will not be able to run any where near that amount through the standard headlight wiring and switches or you will have a melt down. Run a separate relay and wiring from the battery if you need to draw more than around 70 - 80 watts.

Cheers mate thanks for your help

Was thinking I have a couple of 55WATT driving lights in the shed if I were to hook one up to the low beam and the other to the high beam that would be ok yeah? 55Watts per cable?

Or solenoid to battery?

OR them 35W HID'S from ebay?

Cheers

HIDs draw nearly 3 times their running wattage on startup so be careful the new LED Technology is awesome high output low current draw check it out
