My current quad bike seems to be coming to the end of a long and useful life and I'm not sure where to start if I have to buy another.

I'm looking (on the net - haven't actually seen one yet) at a Elstar 250cc Quad Farm bike, or maybe the Boomer - 400cc.

I don't do any serious riding but I use my quad every day around the farm. The hardest thing I would ever ask it to do would be pull the harrows (maybe 300kg)

My current one is a Yamaha 200cc and it has always been reliable but doesn't have much pulling power - we also have an old Honda which is about the same - 200cc but seems to have more pull.

I know there are better (and much more expensive) quad bikes around but for basic use, always kept in shed, not driven hard, what do people think of the Elstar - and maybe any other less expensive quads

no resale value.
"profanity removed" to ride, shock will be stiff as. also dont like the breakes on some of them.
it will be a backward technology.....

I say spend an extra $1000 and get yourself a yammy 400. that will be something worth putting in the shed. but if you want something cheap dont expect much and then you will like it.

thats my 2cents worth laughing or maybe 5.
