Refer to conditional registration section
http://www.rta.nsw.gov.au/registration/otherinformation/registrationfees.html

The mystery is the CTP fee set by QBE.

The registration categories for CTP are
Quads
RECG

Trikes and Bikes
RECG for engines >300cc
RECM for engines 101cc-300cc
RECL for engines <100cc

Maybe you can call them and find out?

There are different categories and the wrong ones are often used. There is one specifically for stockton and it is not based on engine capacities. The alternatives (wrong ones) are more expensive. Sorry I can't remember the code - the best I can recollect is (I think) it had something to do with the letter "O" (but I can't remember so that could be wrong). I don't have my rego papers near me - maybe somebody who has theirs nearby can check theirs and post up.

I think the rego fees are all the same, its the CTP code that makes the difference.

make sure you download both an "application for conditional rego" and "customer road worthiness declaration" off the rta website. Rta Form #1246 & #1245...

That's right - it is the CTP code.

BTW, $320 is the wrong amount - it should be more like $256.

Also be prepared to prove ownership either through previous rego in your name or proof of pruchase.

Conditional Rego for Stockton Beach prices
RTA admin fee $19.00
Number plate one off $38.00
QBE CTP insurance $265.00
Total $322.00

Renewals
RTA admin fee $ 19.00
QBE CTP insurance $265.00
Total $284.00

CTP insurance code Other - premium applies to non-country areas, including Sydney metropolitan, outer metropolitan, Newcastle, Central Coast and Wollongong districts because the RVA is located in the Newcastle district.

Trikes pay the same as bikes on an engine capacity basis

Bikes and Trikes
<100cc - $19 RTA admin fee + $38 Number plate fee + $54 QBE CTP insurance Total $111
renewal: $19 RTA admin fee + $54 QBE CTP insurance Total $73
<300cc - $19 RTA admin fee + $38 Number plate fee + $101 QBE CTP insurance Total $158
renewal: $19 RTA admin fee + $101 QBE CTP insurance Total $120
>300cc - $19 RTA admin fee + $38 Number plate fee + $265 QBE CTP insurance Total $322
renewal: $19 RTA admin fee + $265 QBE CTP insurance Total $284

Hope this helps

Does anyone know how kids go riding on Stockton Beach? Do you need to have NSW Drivers Licence?

Ive seen quite a few kids go hard out on the dunes.
As long as you dont send them up any big hills and keep an eye on them they should be fine.
Just regulate an area where there isnt too much or any 4wd's passing by. Cool
No drivers licence is needed out on the dunes as long as the quad has rec rego and a beach permit.
As for the price of new rec rego, it cost me $354.00 for new rego including a numberplate fee back in Feb of this year for a LTR450.
Hope that helps. Very Happy

Thanks Crocksman 450,

I am getting my kids a pair of 90 Raptors so I will get them registered, with my grizzley and get them up there.

No use complaining about the cost of rego, atleast we can still use the beach.

Thanks for the info.
