Nice ATV TasATV, how does it go in the bush on the hill climbs? I heard the KQ's have heaps of low end torque... Very Happy

Hello there,

Hopefully I'll have it out on the weekend. We go to a place out of Launceston called the Lisle Forest which has natural bush and plantations. There are some VERY steep and long log skidder there to test it out on.

My old Yamaha Big Bear used to handle most of them so I would think that the new machine will do it easily.

It went up the biggest dunes last weekend where the old Yamaha would run out of breath half way up.

Heaps of low down and middle range grunt and it's no slouch on top end speed either.

I couldn't be happier.

Sounds like your on to a winner with the KQ, there a nice looking machine and I've never seen a red one before, there either green, black or yellow!

Make sure you get us some bush hill climbing photos!

I'd like to visit Tassie one day, looks like a great place to ride and wheel..

Cheers
Graham

I'm not sure what their story is then. Did it have a name with who to leave the message with? If so who did it say. I know who owned the trailer but I'm not sure who the number went to, but thats just what was up on the side of the trailer. Dad just told me that he went past where it was today in Mildura and it has gone so they might have sold it. I'll let you know if anything else turns up though.

Hi All

A new upgrade for the Grizz, tyre & wheel combo. Artrax (countrax) tyres with Douglas Nitro wheels. Tested them out on Sunday, tyres hook up well, Gripped well through the mud, and pretty steady at high speed. For the price, i reckon a good all round tyre.

Last one, playing in the mud.

The bike looked Good russell, hope you had a good day riding and testing. It was good to catch up with you the other night on the phone.

The only thing I can fault about the Countrax so far is the name Rolls eyes . Superb tyre for sand and gravel.

LOL it is a good looking bike in both the Red and the white and seeing Grizz pump his around thumb pump showed how good they can be up against some more overdeveloped competition and look and I suspect "feel" quite compact by comparision.

One thing is the Tyres have changed, so whats the new skids?? Wink

I can personally vouch for those "Pitbull Growler tyres" Cranky. They are awesome, they stay clean and if there is a gram of traction, they will find it.

The Grizzlies are a top bit of gear and you've specced it up nicely. Rusty's ( one 1/2 of ATV Off Road. ) is awesome with the CVT kit, wheel spacers bar work and snorkel.

It'll be interesting to see how Graham ( the other 1/2 of ATV Off Road. ) develops his Renegade.........

Thats a nice looking Grizzly Grizzly, I have to say I'm also a fan of the Can-AM Outlanders and Renegades too, Though Can-am's seem to be pretty pricey.

How does performance and handling change by putting the wider tyres on the front? Any bad side effects?
