I own both as well and I know of several issues. Whatever you do DO NOT use the 170 until you have sorted out a replacement air cleaner setup or POlaris has done the USA factory recall to replace the air intake. If you want to know the rest then PM me and I will explain. _________________ 2012 Polaris RZR XP Turbo

CVT's at both std and especially under lift. If you're lucky you'll get a good batch if youre unlucky you'll pop one every 5 minutes.
If its the std RZR they do need straight away replacement wheels to even up the size and get rid of the shocking 4 ply tires.
They need at least a couple of inches in width and you can achieve that out of wheels spacers, wheel offset and specialist SXS tyres with a more square edge profile.
They are too bloody soft in the springs, you'll get too much body roll and roll it, you will put it on its side once if you're lucky like me you'll be goping slow, so wear the gear or you'll be hurt, without the srings it'll bounce around like a demented superball. You'll get 2 inches in height of a set of heavy duty after market springs as well.
I have a post in the for sale section with a whole host of parts that are newly unfitted or fitted then unfitted as well as spares that have been taken off mine to upgrade so a good chance to pick up some spares as well as I can get anything new you need.
If you intend to jump it a lot they need bracing across the 4 rear end points and the bones idea from ATR? well no one else has copied it so you be the judge if its an issue.
If you get sick of the lag off the line, you need a clutch kit.
Anything else just ask, have found everything critical now.
Cheers and safety gear allows you to have more fun!!! _________________ www.asho.com.au for your shooting and outdoor needs
