Easter Saturday April 7 Roma will be having it's biggest Quad event for the year , last year we had over 1000 spectaters through the gates [not bad for a hicktown]. So far we have only have open seniour class but if we get enough interest /entries I am sure the club will add another class . It's an awesome motox track suitable for the beginner or pro . Plenty of camping at the track but if you want a motel you better book early as about 10000 people come to town for the weekends festivities which include Saturday nights caberet [piss up], or speedway [no quads complained we tore up the track] ,Sunday eighth mile drags [ they might let you do a coupla runs if asked] and sunday night rodeo.

Would they let you run if you used motard/speedway tyres-veloces or hoosiers etc?

| Maybe this would be a great event if we cun run MX, speedway and drags, at least it would be legal. |

I won't promise you anything yet I will contact there club secretary Tuesday and see what I can organise, they have let us run a feature race in the past but last I heard they claimed we tore up the track [admittedly we all had nobby's] or they couldn't fit us in there program for easter more to the point I think the drivers were afraid quads steal there limelight. I will let you now more tomorrow night.  |

I like the way you're thinking, it would make the weekend worthwhile travelling for. Same as the speedway I will contact the drag club tomorrow and see if they will accept quad entries , I heard they would accept quads in the past but no one I know has approached them as yet . note it is only an eighth mile bitumen strip with chrissy tree which is possibly ideal for quads anyhow. I will give you an update tomorrow. |

Hey Dusty it's about 500km west of brisbane , just head up to Ipswich Rd follow the signs to Toowoomba , Dalby, Chinchilla, Miles Roma it's basically go west for 5 hours and turn left  when you see the sign for Ironbark raceway just before the town of Roma.
ps; secure Quad parking can be arranged if anyone wants to go out in town for peace of mind. |

Still undecided myself apparently we have a coupla newbies interested in starting up out here and I would like to go to our first yocal club day to ensure we have enough numbers to keep the quad class running out here, however I think JB will be flying the flag for the west with a coupla other rednex close behind , I will make a coupla calls and see if i can get you some definites by the weekend. |

No luck on drag / speedway unfortuntly . Still should be a good mx event though about half a dozen of the best riders I know within a 1000 km radius should be battling for the holeshot possiblly more if fourtrax rox up . |
