I've used them twice, the customer service is fine, just make sure you shop around for your finance.

Banks and building societies can give you a loan that has no payout fees and you can make extra payments to reduce the amount of interest you pay overall.

Remember with many Bike finance companies as soon as you sign the dotted line your locked into paying the full amount of interest from day one, no savings to be had by paying out the loan early, in fact it will cost you a fee.

How much are they slugging you for the yamaha insurance part of the finance...

We bought my sons bike off someone who had it financed, they owned it about 4 mths and changed their minds, wanted 2 wheelers... anyways they had huge payouts and the insurance was about 10 x what we were paying.

Get a Building Society or similar loan,no BS or secret loop holes, good rates and pay as much as you like with out penalty dont get caught up in the "have it right now worry about the paying bit later" mate do some research and you will be much better off.

mate you are better off just checking out as many banks/building societies as you can find and compere interest rates/early payout charges and if you can make extra payments as there are so many diff views on here you are just going to get more and more confused

yeah ur right however mate, i dont think im in a position at all to be picky with the places i get it from. you can play one off against the other (if they are both willing to give u finance to begin with) but im flat out finding someone who will look at an 18 yr old earning 615 bux a week, its driving me litterally insane! lol

Dude I walked into the shop one lunch time and rode out that afternoon. I had payslips and bank statements etc. ready to go and they did they dealer delivery on my bike while I did the loan. They even let me borrow 10% of the loan value to spend in their shop, which got me my helmet and boots to ride home with. It was sweet. Cool

Which dealer was it?

Do they have a bike in stock they can sell you straight away- could they be buying themselves time?? Hrm

Ring anohter dealer and ask whats involved and see how long until you can ride away.

I also used GE finance once- high rates but if you can pay as little as $10/week extra it easily offsets the high interest but they do same day or 24hr turnaround usually. They also have more 'flexible' criteria.

Shop around if you have problems I know you said you have the affordability but maybe it is age or something so look around for other lenders who do 'secured non-conforming loans' this is where they take security of something you own (usually a car) until the loan is paid. That way they get their money no matter what.

Good luck Smile
Let us know when you get a quad sorted as I live Bris/Gold coast.

Ive rung around so many places man, my last option (in my oppinion) is through a credit union that said they might refinance my car (pay out GMAC) and finance the bike and my car into one bigger loan at 10.2% but then again
i dunno what the outcome of that would be.

answer to ur other question is yes the bike ill be getting "IF" they give me finance is sitting in the show room all shiny and with my name on it. not litterally but i hope so lol. its a yfz450 SE. plus i chose the gear i want like helmet boots pressure suit etc, plus nerf's. so its all there, ill be honest with u mate i have NO FREAKIN IDEA what they are doing! well the gentleman at the store who has been absolutely fantastic with dealing with my case had to re submit the app with new details of my income, so i feel sorry for that guy having to piss around. but its through moorooka yamaha, even if i dont get the finance, i highly recomend going through James (in finance) if u do it. his customer service and work ethic are admirable! so yeah. if all else fails i guess i will have to pay cash for the bloody thing, but that will take me bout 8 months to save Mad sigh*

Cool man! Unless you are a total financial headcase there is usually a way.

Good things come to those who wait.......

Now you wait.

yamaha finance were good to me and the customer service is ok if you dont mind sitting on hold for hours on end. my best suggestion is to do what redted suggested and borrow more against your house or redraw some for the average production quad it will add about $5 a week to the average mortgage... if not try the credit union
