After having a couple of chinese bikes myself, I would say the frame will be crap but the engine should be pretty good, the engines in my bikes have lasted for ages with just a rebuilt every now and then when it all gets too warn. Carbies can be a bit of a pain too sometimes but an inline fuel filter will help and most of the problems arise after they have been upside down for a bit.
Frames aren't real good though, especially if you get them airborn, which I wouldn't recomend. All the nuts need locktite-ing aswell because they have a bad habit of rattling loose. It's also handy if you are alright with a welder just keep all the cracks under control and add any re-inforcement that it might need. My swingarm on my 250 is a few kg heavier with all th steel thats been put on it to re-inforce it all.
But even after saying all of this though I would still recomend them to someone starting out in quads that is a half practical person. _________________ "If in doubt go flat out"

| what feral said is absolutely spot on although the motoworks branded quads are a little more refined than previous chinese manufactured ones. the suspension geometry is better and they come with replaceable ball joints on the front A arms, whereas the older offerings were very rudimentary and crude. you'll probably need to do some intake (air filter and carby) mods, and possibly some exhaust and porting work to get the engine singing. find out if the engine they use is ohc or pushrod and go for ohc if you can, although the pushrod engines have been very reliable, the ohc goes a bit harder. shineray have been one of the better suppliers in the past, regarding spare parts back up and hopefully whoever is importing them to oz, has brought parts in as well. |

A blaster will go harder than any chinese bike, and would be around the same size too. All just depends on how much $$$ you want to fork out. _________________ "If in doubt go flat out"
