Hi guys, i have got a issue with my Yamaha YFZ450r "09" when ever i wash it and start it after its starts reving real high (aprox 2500rmp) at idle for about 3 min untill it gets hot then dies down to std idle .. dose anyone else have this issue and if so what have you done to fix it ..
what i done so far
1) wraped a sealint tape around the tps switch
2) pulled all elc connectons off and sealed them with white grease
3) sprayed lonolin around the elc fittings as well

Could it just be a sensor somewhere for a normal cold start function.
Which is an ECU's version of a choke.
Look around the head / barrel / radiator for a sensor and check that.
(i doubt it will be the TPS)
Maybe wet it again and eliminate sensors with a hair drier (within 3 minutes).
Just ideas, I haven't heard of the problem before. _________________ Can-Am X Team

warm the bike up to operating temp, hose the bike down quickly then restart it. if it is just cold start idle up then it wont do it. _________________ Queensland Quad Riders Association
