hey all

inspecting the flywheel on my rz motor yesterday and whoever took it off used a 2 prong puller and has damaged it. i've been told it works but i dont want that thing hanging off the end of my crank.

i know its a longshot but ive heard of a few memebers that have rz parts so i thought i would ask. anyone got one in good condidtion, allways taken off with the correct tool...?

thanks

toby you have probably already sussed this out but some model RZ350 flywheels are the same as banshee. get measuring and see if the pick up tabs and all other measurements are the same as your bansh. if they check out, you can use it.

toby if you get stuck you could just convert your banshee stator to DC and run your zeeltronic off the banshee stator and flywheel...

yeah mate see if you can dig up that thread i posted on here about converting your stock banshee stator to DC. it doesnt sound too hard but prob not something you'd want to do yourself.

actually you know what, i got my RZ stator repaired and re-wound a couple of months ago, cost like $150. I'll get the name of the bloke for ya, i bet he would be able to rewind your stock banshee stator for more power (better for runnin lights etc) and convert it to DC at the same time. Better than buyin a ricky stator one (or any aftermarket), you hear of too many bad stories about them.

ill pm ya.

thanks Mark that would be great.

ive got that conversion stickied, the one you posted a while back as well as all the pm's that had infomation in em! Laughing

even if i do got with a banshee stator im gunna need to buy one as i sold mine, you wouldnt by any chance know whick year rz stator fits up with a banshee flywheel?

you sold the stator or the flywheel? either way its gonna be easier to find banshee stuff than rz stuff.

if its the stator, just go to bansheehq or ebay and buy the cheapest stock one you can find (make sure its a late model one), if coz your gonna re-wind it anyway it doesnt matter what you start with. dont worry about a timing plate either coz you can change the static advance angle with the zeeltronic hand controller.

send me some pics of your build mate.

all stators produce a/c voltage, the banshee requires a regulator/rectifier to convert to dc not just the regulator that comes stock.
