Hi Everyone, Brian of the Zilla here . . . Good news and bad news. Good News - I sold my baby!!! Bad news - I sold my baby!!! Yes, to all of you who may be interested I sold my 20 year old QuadZilla today. The 'ol girl LT500R is gone. The man offered to pay my price and I didn't know what to say! I was shocked at the thought he would take my 'ol girl Zilla away then and there! And he did! I now have a heavy heart and an empty space in the garage where she used to sleep. The only consolation, besides achieving my price, is the fact that the new owner is a regular at Stockton and I knew him from a past life in the eighties at Kurnell. He and his 2 young sons are great guys and I'm most happy about the fact they now want to keep Zilla forever! They are the type to look after her like I did and I know they'll have adventures galore with her. Even more important than the money, I know she's gone to the happiest and best home she could have and they'll probably have more enthusiasm to look after her better than I could in her old age. Your new life starts today 'ol girl. Be good to them like you were to me. Bye old friend.
Thanks heaps to all who responded to my first post when I first advertised her. Now, what do I do for a ride??! Let's see, there are theRaptors . . . there's that newfangle V-Force . . . an interesting year coming up. Has anyone heard the strong rumours about a Honda 'Raptor competitor'? Or the one doing the 'rounds about a V-Force KFX750?!!! I wonder . . . as fast as Zilla? Yeah, an interesting year ahead. Cheers, Brian. _________________ Suzuki LT500R 'QuadZilla' - as strong & as pretty as the day it rolled out of the showroom - my baby since new! |

The KFX750 is just a rumour , Kawie is only making the 700 for now and no reports from the US about it either.
The KFX700 is a great all round machine, fun to ride, plenty of low to mid range grunt too. Ask Yogie. As far as I know its only me and him that have em on this forum. I love it, and I dont think I want another bike other than this, but thats just my opinion.

Thanks AussieV (Mike),
Great to hear you love your V-Force. I've ridden one at Menai once and it really was awesome. I didn't have time to assess handling and chucking it about I only had it in the open to assess power and that didn't disappoint. Besides the Raptor (not ridden) and the V-Force, I'm probably going to look at the CanAm Renegade when released Dec'06 or early next year. 800cc Vtwin with 4WD/auto AND independent rear suspension! The only real comparo I've read on them from the USA was a tester comment that it EASILY stayed with a Bombardier 650 in an impromptu drag. Be really interesting to read proper tests as they surface next year! Looks like a worthy competitior to the amazing V-Force!! Happy Xmas and great riding!! Cheers, Brian (formerly of the Zilla)! _________________ Suzuki LT500R 'QuadZilla' - as strong & as pretty as the day it rolled out of the showroom - my baby since new! |
