Hi Everyone, Brian of the Zilla here . . . Good news and bad news. Good News - I sold my baby!!! Bad news - I sold my baby!!! Yes, to all of you who may be interested I sold my 20 year old QuadZilla today. The 'ol girl LT500R is gone. The man offered to pay my price and I didn't know what to say! I was shocked at the thought he would take my 'ol girl Zilla away then and there! And he did! I now have a heavy heart and an empty space in the garage where she used to sleep. The only consolation, besides achieving my price, is the fact that the new owner is a regular at Stockton and I knew him from a past life in the eighties at Kurnell. He and his 2 sons are great guys and I'm most happy about the fact they now want to keep Zilla forever! They are the type to look after her like I did and I know they'll have adventures galore with her. Even more important than the money, I know she's gone to the happiest and best home she could have and they'll probably have more enthusiasm to look after her better than I could in her old age. Your new life starts today 'ol girl. Be good to them like you were to me. Bye old friend.
Thanks heaps to all who responded to my first post when I first advertised her. Now, what do I do for a ride??! Let's see, there are theRaptors . . . there's that newfangle V-Force . . . an interesting year coming up. Has anyone heard the strong rumours about a Honda 'Raptor competitor'? Or the one doing the 'rounds about a V-Force KFX750?!!! I wonder . . . as fast as Zilla? Yeah, an interesting year ahead. Cheers, Brian. _________________ Suzuki LT500R 'QuadZilla' - as strong & as pretty as the day it rolled out of the showroom - my baby since new! |

I'm deeply sorry to hear of your loss and I feel for you in your time of need. But now it's time to look to the future and why stray from the brand thats given you so many years of happieness? Stick to what you know best.
Damm i'm jelous I couldn't buy that quad _________________ Smitty |

Well done !
When we first bought Grants 250R, it was like the guy was interviewing us to see if we were worthy of owning it ! he wanted to know where she would be ridden and that it was going to be used to her full potential... He knew sitting in his shed it wasnt. The ole girl has given us years of pleasure, was nice to see my son putting her through the ringer a few weeks ago,I remember when he couldnt even kick it over!, but I wish he would start advertising it again LOL...
Does anyone know how I can convince him he has to sell the 250R? _________________ www.waquadmx.com |

Thanks Mrs_Gaitar, Good to hear from you again. Nice 'WAQUAD' website by the way. Re your son and the 250R (trike I assume) you really ought to think wether or not you do want to sell it. If it is the last water-cooled ATC250R trike Honda made ('85-'86) then it is also a bit of a collectors item. While probably somewhat easier to price than a QuadZilla it should still command a good premium if in great nick. My mate who bought the 'other' QuadZilla from the same shop at the same time as I did says he regrets us letting go of our '86 ATC250R's when we traded them on the Zilla's. It was economic necessity at the timebut it still hurts. Without doubt, those trikes were the sweetest, smoothest and best balance trikes to ever be created my any manufacturer. Damn the American 60 Minutes team that caused the trikes to die in the late 80's! I've still got that story on VHS tape believe it or not! Enough rabbiting on from me . . . if you really want your son to quit the 250R for something newer then get him a ride on a Raptor 700. It doesn't have 3 wheels but it comes closest to the all round talent of the 250R . . . cheers, Brian. _________________ Suzuki LT500R 'QuadZilla' - as strong & as pretty as the day it rolled out of the showroom - my baby since new! |
