Yeah, I've got a couple of the DS90X's, but I have not raced one yet.
They have spent most of their time appart for R&D purposes this year.
Hetrick, RPM and others have only just caughtup to releasing the greater range of after market stuff for them.
They are a very well equipt quad and easily the most stable little thing you'll ride.
The power is quite respectable for new or beginner kids but you'll have to do some power up work if your little ones want to be really competative racing one in a modified class.
Pipe and CDI kits have claims to double hp, and in our research this was pretty close to the mark.
The heads are directly interchangeable with most TRX90's and a lot of the top end and hot up stuff is common to all the little thumpy 4 strokes.
So mods, replacements and alternative parts are fairly easy to come by.
Adam Siemensma rode one not long back in a Jumbo race as a dead stocker. (Adam is 6'6")
And mainly through reliability and the standard machines fantastic handling stability, managed to win the day crazy.

It's hard to advise on kids quads without knowing there skill level and intended use for the bike, but...
The little X is basically really wide and stable, they are extremely well equipt, but the power won't knock your socks off in dead stock engine trim (if that's what you are looking for).
My opinion so far _________________ Can-Am X Team
