I was told that the stock air filters a crap for riding on sand and that it could lead to engine failure. Is this true.

Will i need to rejet?

And lastly, anyone know a good online shop for parts?

Thanks.

Most stock filters are crap because they have a poor fitment. Poor fitment can lead to sand getting thru and thus lead to engine failure.

I have a Motoworks non-oil air filter but most guys would probably recommend a Pro-Design, K&N or something equivalent.

Yes, you would more than likely need to re-jet if you install an aftermarket air filter.

I'm not a 2 stroke expert so can't tell you jetting numbers.

Any aftermarket filter will be better in sand than the genuine one. better still if you run a pre-filter such as outerwares or a K&N pre-charger.

get onto www.hardimanatv.com.au and Shane will be able to help you out with a filter and jetting advice.
