I was thinking of widening the front of my Z ,if i widen the front should i widen the rear too? If i do ,do i widen them both the same amount or is it a ratio thing?
Cheers

I think it depends on personal preference a bit and what type of riding you do.
For most, around an inch wider at the front is the go.
Well, my preference anyway.
For a long time I think the Gas Gas Wild 300 was about the only factory quad that came out with a wider front end than back.
Most standard bikes came with wider back ends, but most race bikes end up with wider fronts.
Did you see the new Z has gone 1 inch wider in front end for the 09 model _________________ Can-Am X Team

Hi Buzz, you usually have the front and back the same width and never have the back narrower than the front that's how you usually roll it. Just as an example my partner rides a KFX 700 and they are wider in the front than the rear and that can make them very tippy. I recently put a set of wheel spacers on the rear and the difference was amazing you can throw it arond like a 450. Personally I dont like wheel spacers on the front they generate to much bump stear but more than agree you can run spacers on the rear. Try some spacers on the rear first and see how you go. Prokiwi was selling cheap wheel spacers, I got a set for the rear of the KFX for $97 delivered BARGIN. Mate this is just my personal opinion every body has there own preferance it also depends on what riding you do. I do all my riding at the dunes so my preferances may differ from other peoples.

I'd always go for the rear being around the same as the front for general stability.
If you put +2 arms on and leave the axle stock then you are not actually adding that much cornering stability, especially when you are sliding, widening the rear will add to the higher speed cornering ability of the quad. _________________
