 |
|
g'day
can any one help a novice with a small but potentially life threatening problem? the kick starter on my banshee will kill me. literally. if i can't get to the rear brakes because the stupid thing is loose and constantly rattling around while i'm riding. can anyone suggest a solution to keep it folded in, short of using cable ties?
also. does any one know how i can fix the park brake ? the bolt on the rear caliper has been wound all the way in and for the park brake to work it requires further adjustment, however the bolt can''t go in anymore. any suggestions?

use a bit of motorcycle or car inner tube to keep your worn banshee kickstart in place. just loop it around or zip tie it to the frame then over the kickstarter so it has some tension on it. you should be able to kick it over with out taking it off _________________ Proud Member of QuadridersSA

Hi Maddog, I am pretty sure you can buy a rebuild kit for the kick starter, I know Rocky Mountain ATV do one in the States. Get rid of the rear park brake it is nothing but trouble buy a park brake block off and buy a new clutch lever and save youself few kilos in the making. JMC Racing sells everthing you need and his prices are great.
