Hey there have just bought myself a KXF700 to get around on.
I've just turned 40, used to race bikes many moons ago. The urge to get on a dirt bike still runs in the blood.
A bit about me: have 3 kids and a beautiful girlfriend (just bought them all bikes as well). I love my power and have a VE SS sedan, a 250HP Kawasaki jetski and a Honda VTR1000 road bike. The faster I go the better lol.
Anyway hope to meet up with some of you around the place. If anyone from Toowoomba is around, say hi and let me know where you normally ride.
Cheers |

Welcome aboard chap, the Qld scene is huge here, so you'll find some one on here to help you out, but now to the serois stuff because of the bike you ride, you'll have to ride slowly because the other wont keep up with you...
Another KFX rider WOOHOO... is it a stocky ??? post some pic up of it. _________________ 2005 KFX700

Its just a stock bike from the looks of it. It will do me just fine till I get more $$ for a 450. I don't get it till some time in December when I get the kids bikes (they are a surprise for them for xmas).
I have nerf bars and wheel spacers on order already...and will hopefully get a sticker kit of some sort to go on (anyone know the best place to get these?)

Gee thats a nice shade of green there, whats it called...
forget the wheel spacers, put a set of braided front brake lines on it, a decent set of bars, and decent pipe, will give you hours of fun. I've got a set of S/H nerfs if you want them for free you just pay the postage.
welcome to the clan. _________________ 2005 KFX700

I will ride both given the chance. I have been 4wd'ing at Black Duck but that was a while ago. What is it like there with the bikes? It would appear to be very popular. Does that mean it is out of control? I would be taking my kids also so need to consider their safety also

Where is the best place to buy braided brake lines and bars? Will the brake lines help with the performance of the braking?

It has changed alot from it used to because of everyone taken black duck to court and what not. They have changed it so it is alot safer for example you cant go on the frrestyle ramps unless you are qualified. They have got no more 4wd tracks and they have done alot that is just 2 things that they have done. So it has been changed for the better.
They have got all different types of tracks for all ages and ability. So your kids would be fine our there |

the rear brakes arnt worth a damm, just good for sterring into corners, the fronts do all the work and this is the one best mod you'll ever do.

hey , n welcome to the forum. I'm a local, live just out behind the showgrounds, got a yfz450, i'm also the new president of the QQRA (qld quad riders asocc.)so feel free to contact me for more info, i'm also fairly new to the sport but i will help as much as i can. As for riding i no there are a few guys riding down murphy's ck way along the old fire trails, also hodgsonvale there is much the same thing, if ya don't mind a drive ,cooyar has a bike park wich i hear is preety good for trails. If ya feel the need for a bit of air time and a bit more serious riding we organise days at random mx tracks for practise days, tracks include Warwick, Tivoli, Reedy ck, Chinchilla an Roma..... it's probably a bit l8 , but we got a big weekend of social riding at manar park next weekend, we have around the 50 quad mark attending, but dont worry if you miss this one we have 4 more next year....again welcome and hope to hear from you cheers _________________ TRESPASSERS WILL BE SHOT....SURVIVERS WILL BE SHOT AGAIN..

Thanks for the welcome Ace209. I will definitely be in touch when i get my quad. I'm starting to think I should have got a 450 but they were just a bit more than I wanted to spend. Will make do with the 700 and see how I go for a while.

Hi there....I am definitely interested in any ride days you may organise. So long as you don't mind a few 2 wheelers in tow? My girlfriend will have a TTR125, and my 3 sons will have A CRF230, TTR110 and a KX60.
I think I was at your property a few months ago watching my brother race the Thunder X on 2 wheels. I was especially watching the quads race. They sure are fast. Did you or your wife race at that meeting?

Do you make a different track each year? This years track looked quite fast with the natural terrain. |

make minor changes as the track has to be registered each year, plan to race opposite direction next year with a few changes to try and slow it down a bit. we look at all the other tracks in thunder x,and they are all fairly tight,we just put something different, free flowing, hopefully everyone enjoys.with being the other way it becomes a fair hual up to the top of the hill.intersting 4 the racers and spectators _________________ JUST DOIN IT |

Enjoyed the jetski ride yesterday. I think I have just thawed out also. Absolutely horrible weather...whose idea was it to go out in that???!!!
