| anyone know if there is an actual raptor class in racing here in nz or is it just a 400 class |

go to www.aatv.co.nz they hold regular racing all classes and also speedway , cross country , hill climbs etc .

| yep thanks ive been on there and watched there vids there seems to be a raptor class on there but when i go to the mx races i see only open ,womens,and 400,class's maybe they combine the raptors with the 400's |

| oh ok seems what i watched on aatv was the raptor and 400 class's training at jumping ...so if i did decide to race it ..if thats even possible what class would best be suited to an old fart like me 52 ..im a complete beginner on a quad ..but can ride my yz 426 ok ..but no james stewert ..lol.. so maybe vets. or clubmans ? |

yeah for a minute there you had me lost lol
umm either or really, vets has quite a few guys who can really peddle it, but clubmans has the same, only difference being guys generally get told to shift out of clubmans when they get quicker and start to win.
but like with any class theres a big variety in speed in the vets so im sure youd fit somewhere in there be it at the front or battling it out with someone a bit further back
least thats how it goes in the south island  vets is 0 to 700 cc i think. . so there the odd trail rider and stuff that slots in on bigger bikes that arnt race bikes too

| ok have decided on a ltz 400... probably 04..06 model i know pussy.. but i need the electric start and reverse..im an old fart ya see..and its my first quad so i can always up grade at a later date ..so this weekend im selling my bike and a quad hunting i will go |

ive had a suzuki, i think it was an 04, awesome bike
yeah, both reverse and electric start is a luxury i dont have lol
