Old days are over Kyle, they are checking everyone as they enter the carpark at Lavis Lane so you will need the RTA rego which is $138 for 3 months or $300 + for the year (thats for a 250cc) plus the National Park Permit from the servo for $10.
No rego riders will get caught its just a matter of time, not worth the issues with fines etc just have to pony up the cash to keep legal _________________ 1989 TRX 250R |

Your getting ripped off Tony. Thats quad rego your paying. The trikes are classed as a cycle not a quad and mine costs $168.00 per year. |

I went through that with the RTA woman and she declined the cycle application even when i told her it was an "ATC", C being cycle.I think its a matter of who you get on the day. _________________ 1989 TRX 250R |

Just rock up to the RTA, you will need a receipt of purchase of your trike by the way and ask for recreational rego application. You will also be given a form that you fill out that states the trike has lights, blinkers, horn etc etc just tick the boxes and go with it or you wont get it done...yes its crazy but thems the rules
You get straight away and issued with a plate for your trike. _________________ 1989 TRX 250R |

went to the rta today and asked about it rec licence.
they were going to charge me $368 for the $18 for the permit and $30 for the plates. i said is this for an atc or atv, they said atv. i told them that its not an atv but an atc, and gave me the new price which is $141 for one year $18 for the permit and $30 for the plates. I also said i dont have prrof of reciet i purchased my first trike 15 years ago, which i still have, and dont have a receipt so i know have to sign a stack dec, to declare this is where i bought it from.. to easy and thanks for the tips and the prices, first time i bought one i paid around $400 for it, but i think there were charging me for the atv.
What a bloody wrought this is.

Yea that sounds about right. Just renewed my trike rego on the weekend $141 and mines a 350x but i told them it was a 200x so i only got charged the cheaper price as i was not paying $400 for beach rego. My rego says 350x though so no one will know any difference....lol
Glad i dont own a quad beach rego is $400 regardless of what size engine as they are a vehicle....thats gotta suck no wonder they dont get rego. |
