Guy in WA rider has one but was not an experienced rider so I doubt there will be much point chasing him for comparison. _________________ www.asho.com.au for your shooting and outdoor needs

Dealer in Carnarvon asked me to test ride his demo unit, Power had potential but front end handling was really bad. My Outlaw was way more exciting to ride. _________________ Its not if you win or lose but how you enjoyed the ride! |

Do you think it would benefit from shocks similar to those on your predator? _________________ Cheers,

If I got one, I would do the following:
put 23 - 7- 10 Razr2's on the front.
Get rid of the OEM rear rim and run OMF custom 10" rim that are 6.5" wide.
Put Bearclaw 22 - 8 - 10 tyres on the the rear.
Widen the front end up with some Laeger +2 A-Arms
aftermarket front Shocks
I feel that you can work with the rear shocks but the front need replacing. _________________ Its not if you win or lose but how you enjoyed the ride! |

Just get an outlaw 525 IRS it will leave it in the dust. If you want something with real power and handling you cant go past the Outlaw IRS.

Hey folks I am thinking of buying an Outlaw IRS has any one had any problems with them. I herd they have a problem with CV boots and can be expensive to repair.

I must have just had very bad luck with mine. I did quite a few CV boots and it always happened just before a race. The outer ones arent so bad but the inner ones are a real bitch. There is a clip that holds the boot in and it is very difficult to get the clip in. The rear main bearings failed on numerous occasions and the Polaris dealer had a hard time splitting the hub to change the bearings. I eventually bought a spare rear diff assy as a spare in case something failed during or at a race.
If you tear a CV boot you must stop riding immediately otherwise sand will get into the CV and destroy it.
My KTM motor also failed me twice with the main bearings on the crank disintergrating. If you are going to race offroad/desert style events you will need to do some mods to the motor so it can handle the high revs for prolonged periods.
If you do not race then keep it as stock as you can and you probably wont have any problems. In my humble opinion, the Inderpendant Rear Suspension componentry is very high maintenance when compared to straight axle. _________________ Its not if you win or lose but how you enjoyed the ride! |

| ive had mine since oct 08, thing hasnt missed a beat, they are geared fairly tall standed so i changed from the 14 tooth front sprocket to a 13 made it heaps better on tight trails, also got a set of maxis razors for the back they are 6 ply side wall compaired to the standard tyres that are only 2 ply, these have made it slide in the rear alot easier and improved the handling heaps, ive also got +1 douglas rims on the front with razor2 these have help in fixing the typical tippy front hondas are known for. cheers chris |

I have owned 7 quads in the last 4 years from Polaris 800 to 700 raptor and everthing in between and I vote the 700xx as the best trail quad bar none the Raptor is more versitial but it aint better in the bush. I ride against a 700 Raptor every weekend and my 700xx smashes it. As for Polaris I would not P!SS on one they dont back warranty and they have a bad reputation in this country and a worse one in the US. I mean I love KTM's but the 525 is not cutting it in a quad, all I hear about is all the breakdowns they are having not to mention the Safari this year. After your Polaris IRS is dead and buried the 700xx will still be roosting into the sunset. I like this saying I heard along time ago from a respected drag racer Quote, She maybe heavy but she aint slow. The 700xx is the most underated quad on the planet the only thing holding them back is non-adjustable suspension.
