just wondering if anybody has removed their stock air box lid?? also was wanting to know if they noticed a good power increase and whether its a safe thing to do? cheers for the feedback.

done it to a z400 had to rejet carb to suit theres a little bit in it but dont expect it to be like a 50 shot of nos more like a 3 shot laughing

when you rejetted the carb did you buy an actual jet kit or just play around with the stock jets in your carb?

if you've already got a pipe and an air filter it should have been re-jetted to suit that anyway, taking the lid off you'll need to make it a bit richer.

if you havent done much jetting before then it is probably worth buying a jet kit as it will have some guidelines on what to use for your set up.

ive ordered a dynojet kit for my bike so it will run better with the removed lid and also the uni filter.

JUST PLAYED WITH JETS UNTIL IT FELT GOOD AND PIPE LOOKED GOOD
