Ponde Sand Drags is on this Saturday 19th July,
Gates open at 7am, practice is as directed(between track grades etc), racing starts at 2pm, cost is $15 entry,
Safety gear required is standard equipment, helmet, goggles, gloves, boots etc
You do not need a lanyard kill switch, but if you have one, it will be an a advantage. |

the trick is feral to back off just before the finish line so they win,
saves getting concrete boots.....
have we got anyone who can be a dedicated videographer for the day?
ive got a 40 gig jvc hard disk camera but no one to steer it.
Hustler can i strap it to your head, so while your taking pics you can record the action? |

banshee took out the pondi sand drags bye rootsracing witness by the the hustler racing team hope all you guys had a fun .I think its time for me to build a drag banshee now for the next sand drags i was so looking forwards of going to this one but it was my sons birthday so i stayed home anyone take any pics it would be great to see them posted congratulation to rootsracing team

What a awesome day out.
a massive thanks has to go to the team from Roots
it shows there dedication to the sport if there willing to travel 3000 klms round trip just to put on a show for a bunch of hairy bikers.
Yet oz atv and dual roost could only manage 2 quads from adelaide?
The new 620 shee certainly has the ability to get the power to the ground, and on several occasions had the whole croud standing up clapping and cheering. 90 % of them are v8 or harley type old school lovers but even they could appreciate a really fast bike.
and they now certainly have an apreciation for the mighty 2 stroke. after it smashed the crazy buggy with approx 600 hp, twice
im sure the guys will chuck up some pics and video when they get home, but i loaded a couple vids on youtube of my yfz10r keeping the crowd amused with a few wheelies.
my bike ran great all day but as this was my first time using paddles it took me a bit to try and launch the thing of the line with just the stock 450 swingarm. i will make sure my swingarms at least 12 inches longer before the next full race meet in feb.

thanks roost racing and dangerman nice to meet you guys, i finally got my ass to ponde my son loved it and wants to go again, my wife didnt hate it and will go next time , should have take my quad,danny/jumbo is hooked,we will be back next time.
yes the banshee won two drags with that monster sprint car and a huge sand bike the crowed cheered didnt think it could win and the competators shook hands after, a real relaxed atmosphere and organised event hats off to the ponde crowd.
