has anyone had any powder coating done with fancy colours like candy's or metallics etc ?
the local places up here have a crap range of colours but i see them all the time on the american websites and stuff, so it must be able to be done.

thanks, mark _________________ 2002 SE Banshee |

Try painting it with 2 pack paint. It is more durable & finishes better than powder coat. It comes in any colour as well.
I can't understand why everyone seems to think powder coat is some magical finish.
Would you buy a car that was powder coated?
Have you noticed how your powder coated fence lost its gloss in the first 12 months, but your car didn't.
I think the reason manufacturers powder coat quads is because it is cheaper than finishing off the metalwork for painting. _________________ 06 LTZ400

| I was going to powder coat my Banshee frame but instead had a mate do it in 2 pack matt black and it looks fantastic. He said he uses the same paint on Chev chassis's! He said powder coat 'chips' and water gets underneath then your frame rusts. Also, if you don't plug up all your threaded holes in the frame, the powder coat gets in and you can't put the bolts back. You end up chipping the PC attempting to clean the threads out! I do not understand the use of PC, especially on a quad frame - go 2 pack for sure. |

the main reason for using powder coating is it fills up the defects in the frame more then 2pak does the colours that i can get look crazy but i dont know how long it will last, _________________ Roots Racing ATV's
