For all QQRA members and non-members.
I received this email today and i found it interesting reading. The only thing missing from this review is what is constituted as 'noisy'??
And this is what the crime and misconduct commission is reviewing.
They have asked for public comment, please email the officer from the commission with your views and make sure you inform them of your interest. check out the website for details.

"As you may be aware, the Crime and Misconduct Commission is required to
conduct a review into the effectiveness of Queensland's off-road
motorbike/trail bike noise laws. As part of this review process, we are
seeking public comments on the issue. I have obtained your contact
information from the Motorcycling Queensland website and thought this
may be of interest to you.
We have prepared an issues paper which provides a preliminary overview
of the laws, information on the review and how to make a submission to
us. This can be accessed on our website www.cmc.qld.gov.au or
alternatively you can contact me on 07 3360 6300 to obtain a copy.
We welcome any comments your club or any of your members may have on
this issue. We would also encourage you to publicise our review with
your members.
If you have any questions about the review, please contact me on 07
3360 6300 or toll-free 1800 061 611.
Kind Regards

| Am i the only one who can be bothered? I contacted Nadine to get the facts about the hooning issue.Basically, it seems to be about noise from bikes "not on the road".If you p--- off one of your neighbors, they can ring plod. He arrives and "if in his opinion, the noise is exessive"(there is no actual noise level testing) on the second time your bike can be confiscated. And a big fine too.I asked some more questions and I am waiting for more answers.(tuesday night)If we all emailed her, nicely, and asked her to explain how not to have aproblem, they might get the message.Act now, because next week your may not be able to ride on your own driveway without a problem.Gee,100 veiws and only ONE reply.must be a lot of broken fingers. |
