What have you guys found to be really good at getting the sticky gunk off with out whiting of the plastics?

Cheers,

Mineral turps works real well.
Have to soak the rag though.

I use boiling water to remove old stickers and they usually peel off completely without separating from the glue. Boiling water and a rag might work just as well with the glue residue.

There is a product you can get from hardware shops actually called Goo Remover, it is in a yellow coloured tin.
I use it on old CD cases and doesn't seem to harm the plastic.

All of the above apart from the angle grinder.

Also, vinegar does a great job and it's cheap as chips.

The wife.

Much easier than any of the other things and you can drink a beer and yell at her for a change for not doing something right

Since stickers were invented mums all over Australia have been using good old eucaliptus oil. It works for chewing gum as well.
Just ask your mum.

This boy doesn't even know what his mum used to take off the residue of the hundreds of stickers he put around the house in the last 18 years.

We own a sign shop and when businesses change their logo's etc, and we remove signage off their cars etc, this is what we use.
as they say wax on... wax off....
one really wet rag, and one really nice clean onedry one, preferably white!

There is a specific label remover aerosol spray can u can get at any good paint/hardware store. Name escapes me but Im sure there'll be a couple of brands anyway and they are designed to not harm plastics, have used them on lexan (clear polymer).

Would not reccommend turps which can damage polymers.
