 |
|
Last weekend whilst having a fantasmic flying around KORMCS MX track at Katherine - it's a great flowing track which caters for all skill levels run by a super-duper club! This track is a real pleasure to ride.
anyhow I was really enjoying myself into my third lap then all of a sudden I was in the A&E at Katherine Hospital stark naked
an air flight to Darwin and a couple days later I am rather sore, tired and still naked.
The only item which was not cut from my bod was my boots which hg thankfully saved. back brace, jocks, bra pants - the lot all cut and confercated - bugger
So thanks to wonderful ambos and medical staff in both Katherine and Darwin I will be able to ride again (hopefully I will be out of hospital in the next few days and be at DMCC's Gunn Point Track on Sunday to cheer on the Polaris Ladies Quad Class - can't ride yet)
So now - I am in need of some retail therapy - or I shall be riding in my boots only.
I need a helmet, jersy, pants, armour basically everything and am looking for your opinion on what you think I should try to afford?
designs, colors, styles, brands etc
I hate sooky colors and love my sexy red outlaw 525
ps - hey gravedigger - your better than me - I am nearly going crazy already - just dreaming about getting back on my outlaw again however the drugs are definately not MA approved _________________ Family is most important.... next is our quads

Yeah vjcrose, maybe we could both return to the track in only our gear
remaining, I've got boots, 661 pressure suit,helmet,gloves & jocks.
Anyway, more importantly how are you, hope the damage is not too serious and your back out there soon. Those "drugs", crikey I can honestly say that of near 8 weeks in Canberra I don't remember too much of it.
All the best for a speedy and full recovery.
Regards Dean. |

thanks sik will have to see if i can find em to try em on here in darwin. I have actually not heard much about that 661 brand. Have you had a stak with one on - how well did it protect your nog - they reckon the dead wood inside my m2r stopped it from smashing. I find the arai to close to my face and feel nausea/claustrophobic however that may have just been one style or my mood that day. however am open to all suggestions thanks for your reply. _________________ Family is most important.... next is our quads |

i think most helmets with the aussie standard would be just about same in safety as they get similar or same test done to get the standard
and i am now using nemisis riding gear a chinese brand off ebay cost me $112 for top and pants with postage ........ and i find it more comfy then my $400 thor gear and quality wise only downside i can complian about was knee emblem rubbed off and onto my sticker kit but otherwise they are great lower leather panel inner leg and all

I have had a few decent stacks with this gear on. It must work, i can still walk, talk and breath.
I had an M2r helmet before this 661 helmet, it was heavy and bulky compared to my new helmet. _________________ Mic
