| still need to know without pulling the lid off and measuring the bore how to tell the differance between the 450 an 525 ktm donk... the only numbers on the cylinder r 89-7r and the 450s bore is 89 , the 525s bore is 95 ,also can u take the 450 cylinder out to 95??????????? |

You can fit the 525 or 540 piston kit and barrell straight onto the 450 bottom end as they are excactly the same, try a KTM dealer to find out if the numbers on the barrell are relevant to the size. If you wanted to take the 450 barrell out to 525 you would have to bore it then get it re -nikasiled, this would probably cost as much or more than the big bore kit though as you would still need the oversize gaskets ect, one word of warning be very carefull when fitting the oil rings Very brittle. _________________ we do not stop racing because we grow old
