i agree with you ashley
BUT
consider this scenario, roughly 5 years ago when some of my friends first bought their banshees, they were paying about $1200-1300 for a set of pipes. back then the dollar was worth what, 65/70 us cents?
these days the prices for the pipes are similar if not the same, but the dollar is worth over 90 cents now and has been for quite some time.
if they arent gonna pass the savings on of course people are going to go elsewhere! _________________ 2002 SE Banshee |

but one thing to take into account is the pipes could have been in aussie for sometime and they werent bought at the .90c price hence the retailer would lose out
and Ash has seen me say it before but will say it again
buying off overseas places ya dont get the service or back up support you do buying locally ... how much do you rate service and back up service ???
then tell me a bit extra dont go a long way _________________ black covered in 5.7 powered oversize quad

I havent posted this for any other reason than to pass on infomation. I spend 80% of my $$ here but there are some great bargains out there, and I have waited in some cases over 14 fdays to get a part from interstate. NOT good enough in my book. _________________ 2005 KFX700

i will happily pay a premium (10-20%) to support locals but am sick of paying 2-3 times price of what i can get stuff for myself - with that price diff i can afford to send parts back for warranty & still be way in front.
i have a little knowledge of retail industry & sometimes you have to take a hit in the pocket where you bought at one price but can now get same cheaper - rule of thumb is 1 pissed off customer will cost you 10-20 other customers.
i think if its not already happening a bunch of the bigger shops should stop cutting each others throats & form a buying group to gain some real volume discounts. _________________ Raptor 700 |

No need to slog Yogie...
Money talks and bullsh!t walks.....
support for locals is always hard at their premium prices....
