Has any one tried these dual throttles - twist and thumb in one? What are they like and what are they worth and is there any one in aus selling them? _________________ Family is most important.... next is our quads |

havent used one but you would be refering to terry cable dual gassers
shallowwater ATV stocks them
0429188799
or email is shallow-water@bigpond.com
rrp in atv action is $220
what i did read though was the thumb action is live even if ya have the twist engaged the thumb action is alway connected _________________ black covered in 5.7 powered oversize quad

One of the guys here has a dual gasser on his Raptor and they look the ducks nuts. Sitting down on the flat stuff, the twist throttle feels very comfortable but I found that I was reaching for the thumb throttle through the tight stuff and when I standing up over rough terrain. I don't think that it would take too long to get used to though. He purchased his from the U.S but I believe JMC and some of the other local guys have them as well, not sure what price though. Check out the reviews section as beachbum has just posted on this very subject. _________________ I'm not suffering from insanity, I'm enjoying it!!! |

Had a dual gasser for about 3 months.
Great quality & worked exceptionally well. I personally could not get used to the twist throttle on a quad though. Near got me into trouble a couple of times. Don't hang off the bars when you're sideways
As for using it to rest your thumb on trail rides, best invention I've seen. _________________ If it's not upside down, you're not trying hard enough!

Yeah, I can relate to hangin off in corners and pullin the gas on even more... ..
Each to their own and in straight out stuff the twist was good.. _________________ Andrew |

I got to try one on the simpson crossing last year, didn't much like the thumb part of it but I'm not a big fan of thumb throttles anyway, the thumb lever needs an extention on it to reach out where the the grip is when there is a twist mechanism in between. _________________

My partner runs a Dual Gasser on her KFX 700 its a good product but JMC'S version is better as it runs an alloy throttle tube where the gasser runs a plastic one. After a while the throttle locking pin elongates a bigger hole in the plastic throttle tube making it sloppy when locking it off. JMC's is about $50 cheaper to. In my oppinion the thumb throttle part works fine its better then any Yamaha thumb throttle I have used.
