|
Been giving the front wheel bearings a little grease and now the nut seems to do up little more than when I took it off. there seems to be about 2mm of play if I do the nut up to where it was at the start. but no noise and it feels real firm and true. If I do it all the way up to where it will do now, I can hear bearing noise, nothing scary mind you but I can hear a sound all the same and by saying that the cotter pin will no longer be though the top end of the calsted nut.
Hope this makes sense all the same. _________________ 2005 KFX700

Go to a bearing shop with a pair of front bearings & get a new set if you doubt the ones you have. We did the 450 the other day for I think $32.
Chickenshit compared to all the other costs and you are gaurenteed. _________________ 06 LTZ400

(A) 2mm play in the bearings is not a good thing !!!
(B) any bearing noise i not a good thing !!!
i have one "Q" did you mix the left and right wheel nut up ??? not all nuts are the same .I.E.the start postion of the thread..
a per above with what gammie61 said just replace them for that low price.i am sure you would not be happy if your out bush a a wheel locks up on you _________________ Sponsors ,Cullys Yamaha,Pirtek Malaga

yeah I am going to replace them, no doubt about that but if you dont ask you dont know. There done about 120 hours so I've earnt my dollars worth. And Kawasaki dont stock them regardless. So I'll go and see the local bearing place me thinks. Get it ready for thumb pump...

going to a place like CBC bearings (if you have that over there ) will save you about 50% at least copaired to a bike shop... _________________ Sponsors ,Cullys Yamaha,Pirtek Malaga

Yeh you won't go wrong going to a bearing shop. We used AWB this time. The young fella might have got trade prices but they were cheap anyway. If you use any of the national bearing shops you won't go wrong. I would lay money on them having them on the shelf. If not they will get them by the next day down there in Geelong _________________ 06 LTZ400
