Just got the new KTM 525 and am in the proccess of running it in. All I can say is " WOW!" This thing is amazing. So light, controlable and powerfull.
Comes out of the box with all the stuff you would normally have to add to other machines and as a bonus it has a CroMo frame.
KTM have thought of everything and nothing is out of place.
Very impressive.

$15,000.

But think of what it comes with.
Cro Mo frame, A Arms and swing arm, Ohlins shocks, Razzr tyres on Douglas wheels, floating disc brakes, taper bars etc..... and the best air box I have ever seen on a quad.

The outlaw is only part KTM he wanted the real thing hey Maggot. Suxs i cant ride anymore or i would have one. Had a 520 motor that spent a year in a sidecar a year back in the solo then 2 years in a banshee frame then back in a solo when i sold it and only had to do regular services on it.

Hey John, go down to K Mart & grab a roll of headlight protector film from the auto parts section. Cut it to fit onto the rear guards where your boots will rub. Works really well & you can't see that it's there. I rode mine the first time with out doing it. Took a bit to clean the marks off the guards (they show up real bad on the orange). Put this stuff on & all's good now.

found this on rap... another forum.
can't wait to see how the KTM450 goes in MX
anyone racing one in 08?

"April 08 Atv Sport Magazine They put a stock Raptor up against a stock KTM 525xc and a Polaris Outlaw525s. In their drag racing tests the KTM and Polaris were both faster to 30 mph but the Raptor was faster to 60 mph by a tick.
They checked all three 0 to 30 and 0 to 60 mph with a radar gun.
Polaris was fastest to thirty at 2.2 seconds followed by the KTM at 2.41 sec. and the Raptor at 2.5 .
The Raptor was fastest to sixty at 7.7 seconds followed by the KTM at 7.73 seconds and 8 seconds flat for the Polaris. All tests were done with a 160 lbs rider.
The article also posts 0 to 660 feet times. Polaris 10.15 seconds, KTM 10.21 and the Rappy 10.28 seconds. Rappy was doing 65 mph at that point and the others were at 64 mph."
