Hey guys, another n00b here, only been riding for a month and we had our first quad event here for the year in Katherine, unfortunately I crashed out in the 2nd of 3 races and smashed my ankle up pretty bad...
Oh well, will have to wait for two weeks time when the next event is held, I'll be doing my best to make sure I'm all healed up by then....

Hahaha, yeah a bloke named nick just bought the TRX, bastard only won the last two races coz I was out with an injury.....
Good onya Nick, was a great turnout for the first quad appearance that was never going to happen because the two wheel organisers are all bias......
I'd post some pics up, but they are a bit embarrassing with my shithouse starting technique, put it this way, when the track is dry it's like powder, so you sit on the back of the bike to try and get traction, but on raceday they wet it down and it goes hard........
I was ejected quick smart at the start of the second race, then I held a grudge with myself and was really pissed off, and stacked out bigtime on the third jump.........

Yeah, check this out, this aerial pic is a bit old, and taken in a wet season, but you get the idea, it's very dry right now...
Looking forward to some mud slinging at the end of the year, I would almost class it as an end of year shin dig for the quadders...

Yeah it's awesome, I don't know of anywhere else apart from living out in bumfcuk nowhere (oh that's here) where you can leave your backyard in suburbia, cross two roads and be on and endless supply of trails, or the moto x track, which is only a 5km ride from home on another trail...
Makes it very easy of an afternoon when you get home from work at 5pm, you can easily just jump on and go for a blat for about 1.5hrs before it gets dark, and stay roughly in the vicinity of homebase...
It's perfect.... _________________ 2003 Predator 500 Owner... |
