ditch the airbox lid and get either a K&N power lid or an outerwares lid for it then re-map the PCIII to suit. Definitely run on the 98RON stuff. Mobil Synergy, Caltex Vortex Gold or BP Ultimate are the go. _________________

I have been on the lookout for one of these for a while and so far as I can tell they are currently only available for the 660. I picked up an outerwares lid from Quad Squad the other day. Given the amount of dust up here, these things do a great job in keeping everything clean. I also run a pre filter on my K&N as well just in case. If you have any luck tracking down one of the power lids please let me know. _________________ I'm not suffering from insanity, I'm enjoying it!!! |

I'd ask Adam at Quad Squad if they do a 'Customs Air Intake' for the Raptor yet.
You could keep the standard air box and cleaner, and slip the 'Customs' unit and Hi-Flow air cleaner on.
These things create a true ram air flow and make absolute bags of torque.
I was amazed at the massive bottom end qrunt when i stuck mine (TRX467) on the Dyno.
If not I'd go the outawears lid like Fossil said.
Simple, cheap, very effective and safe in all conditions. _________________ Can-Am X Team

Ah wheelies..yes..not good. Still can't hold one for any real distance and am no where near the balance point at the moment. Self preservation gets harder to ignore the older you get unfortunately. On what I thought was my best attempt for the weekend, I turned around fist pumping in triumph only to discover that I was no more than a couple of bike lengths from where I had started. Not so much of a highlight for me but my riding buddies thought it was hilarious. I'm not giving up just yet though. _________________ I'm not suffering from insanity, I'm enjoying it!!! |

LOL I can't wait til Yogie reads that.
Funnily enough I don't have any problems riding the rappy to her limits on the trail, it's just that wheelies are something new at the moment and having the front end up in the air is a little unsettling. _________________ I'm not suffering from insanity, I'm enjoying it!!! |

Remember that movie 'Planes, Trains & Automobiles' where John Candy (Del) & Steve Martin (Neal) are waking up after sharing the same bed in the motel:
Neal: Del... Why did you kiss my ear?
Del: Why are you holding my hand?
Neal: [frowns] Where's your other hand?
Del: Between two pillows...
