Those of you running wider a arms (i have a banshee but i guess its relevant to all quads) did you notice a significant difference in handling and stability... Enough to justify the cost??
Do i go for a stock replacement or spend the extra and go for +2+1 a-arm kit? Im looking at a full flight set. Any brands should steer clear of?
Currently i have my wheels spun and stock a-arms. But I have a bent lower a-arm and while the bike is in bits figure a good time to replace it.
Can i use my stock shocks?
Do you still leave the wheels spun when using the wider kit? If you put the wheels back the original way wont that pretty much put it to where it was and defeat the purpose?
Thanks

your bike is currently handling worse with the wheels spun out, it throws the geometry of the steering up the "profanity removed". Put them back and it will handle better.
Wider is not always better, it depends on what you do with the bike |

i have a 700 raptor and i have put on the lonestar +2+1 A arms and to me it feels heaps better but i also did the rear axle at the same time. on the moto cross tracks its heaps better but in tight bush tracks its a bit tricky the extra 6inchs makes a huge diffrence (3inch each side) you hit stuff as you watch your mate with the stocky fly off in front of you..and yes i was running my normal shocks with the wider a arms . then i went and put yfz shocks on and its heps better again.. _________________ Sponsors ,Cullys Yamaha,Pirtek Malaga

Getting it on the side for tricks is something i have no intention of doin
Im just after stability, i like to go sideways at speed on flat stuff a lot..
I think i'll go with the +2 kit.
With your +2 kit did you get new brake lines? _________________ If this message creates confusion, my work here is done.

| ide go with the +2+1Aarmsstanded travel then you can use your standed shocks but ide up grade to better ones my self.an run your wheels the way they ment to be as they tender to flick out a bit in sand dunes an dont come back your find your self off more than on putting the wheels straight an for getting it up on two wheels on the side with wided Aarms it will only take a couple of hours before u are able to i own a banshee an i can do the two wheel trick on the side 150metres an more no problems brake line you should be able to use the one thats on the bike as i do you want better brakeing put the yfz brakes on it its so much better no mods needed just bolt on an your on ya way |

i run standard on mine as i race enduro's and as stated earlier some of the other guys have trouble with wider quads in the tight stuff..
Some of the grass track guys run wider A-arms and their bikes that are set up right handle like they are on rails..
depends on what you are doing but i am happy with my current set up.. _________________ Andrew |

definitely go with the +2 kit and put your wheels back the right way round. you will need to get new brake lines also as the stock one will be a bit short.
If you get std travel arms you can still use you stock shocks. _________________

when there are 2 numbers like that the 2nd one is generally forwards so +2 width (each side) and +1 Forward to extend the wheel base. _________________
