well you listed them from cheapest to dearest!
apparently the timing keys break after loads of abuse, so if your after just a static advance do the timing plate, and dont go anymore than +4
programmable ignitions are good but you should spend your money on other things first such as carbs port job etc etc... _________________ 2002 SE Banshee |

no dramas mate i would recommend changing your 21cc domes to 19cc and running bp98 or better (you probably already do anyway) _________________ 2002 SE Banshee |

1 remove stator cover
2 remove flywheel will need a pully
3 mark timming plate with a flat line where the two cases meet.
4 remove timming plate
5 looking at the timming plate file the m6 holes anti clockwise 6mm extra
6 reinstall the timming plate with the screws loose turn the timming plate retension the bolts with the marked line below where the cases meet .
every 1mm clockwise of movement is equal to 1 deg of timming 3-4 deg is good I use to run 7-9deg but i had the works.
dont forget to rejet because you will be to lean...ash
This works best if you .
have pipes
biger carbs
vforce 3 reeds
port work
cool head with 21cc or less
98 bp fuel

yeah lots people have just elongated the holes on their stock timing plate (including me) but when you can get a timing plate for $40 US why bother?
pro design billet ones are alot dearer but the cheaper RM stator cast ones do the exact same thing and it dont need to be flash coz no ones gonna see it!
oh yeah make sure you buy a proper flywheel puller, dont use a legged one, it will bend the flywheel. where ever you buy the plate from will be able to sell you the flywheel puller for like $20. pm me for some places to get this stuff from.
19cc will definitely be reliable on 98 ron, with 19cc domes your static compression ratio will still only be 10.21:1, and your corrected comp ratio 6.07:1, which is fine for pump fuel. in case your wondering this should work out to be 185psi on a compression tester guage. _________________ 2002 SE Banshee |
