| i have noticed that my bike is starting to leak cooland after a ride on the weekend. it appears to be coming from a hole underneath the water pump. it seems that there should be a little bolt or screw to block it. if anyone could help out that would be sweet. cheers... |

the hole is generally a tell tale so you know when the seal is on its way out. _________________ 10 LTR 555 Dingo

When asking questions like this it's best to tell what quad you are referring to.
I'd agree with quad & Dingo, sounds like your water pump oil seal is out and it's leaking coolant out the weep hole. This was very common on early YFZ450's. Very easy to fix. _________________ Don't close your eyes during the crash, you'll miss the best part |

leaking out the tell tale just means you need to replace the outer water pump seal, generally this requires taking the water pump cover off and the impeller then picking out the seal, take it to a bearing shop to get it matched or if your local bearing shop are a bunch of knobs just get one from your local bike shop (more expensive but) _________________
